Hi! I have the great privilege of working with college students and young adults. I am originally from Tulsa, but have called Tahlequah my home since I came to college here in 2003. At my “day job” I work for Northeastern State University in the office of Admissions and Recruitment. But my true calling is to pour into the lives of people by equipping them the through God’s Word and Christian fellowship. I am currently working on an M.Div. in Pastoral Studies through the Southern Baptist Theological Seminary. It is my great desire for the young people at NSU – and across the globe – to see all of life through the lens of Jesus Christ, and to live intentionally with the goal of worshiping Him in all they do, and advancing His kingdom in any way possible.
God has blessed me with a wonderful family. My beautiful wife Keisha and I were married on October 10, 2009. We have two beautiful and energetic children, Emersyn and Keegan.
While I grew up in the church and attended regularly, I was only saved by placing my faith and trust in Christ a year before I went off to college. I am constantly amazed at the grace of God in my life, specifically through this church that I have been able to call home for over ten years. It is my desire to see young adults fall more in love with Jesus Christ, and to see them getting equipped and serving His kingdom through the local church.
If you are a college student (or college-aged), please join us as we go deeper into God’s Word to discover who He is, who we are in Him, and how He has called us to live. We have a small group that meets in a home on Wednesday nights at 6:00pm for dinner, Bible study and prayer. We also have a college class that meets on Sunday mornings at 9:15.
“Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” ~ Hebrews 10:23
